What should your business website actually do?
Start with the action that matters: a quotation request, a phone conversation, a booking enquiry or a product order. A service business needs to explain who the work is for, what is included and how to enquire. A product business needs different information, including its catalogue, fulfilment arrangements and the payment methods it can actually accept. We establish that purpose before choosing the page structure.
For a contractor serving Central Trinidad, for example, a useful service page could explain the work undertaken, areas served, photographs of completed work and the information needed to prepare a quote. That is an planning example, not a claim about a particular client.
What is included in a scoped build?
We can develop the page plan, original copy, visual design, responsive layouts and enquiry flow within an agreed brief. The scope identifies which pages need new copy, which images you will provide, and any booking, payment or account requirements. Each integration is checked for access, provider support and operating requirements before it is promised.
A launch checklist should cover phone links, WhatsApp, form validation, confirmation messages, error pages, navigation and the way long content behaves on a small screen. Google recommends making content accessible to crawlers and understandable to visitors; we build the main page content into the HTML.
How much does a website cost in Trinidad and Tobago?
Your quotation should explain the design and development fee, content work, domain arrangements, hosting, maintenance and any recurring provider charges. Page count alone does not describe the work. A short site with a complex booking system may require more engineering than a larger informational site.
DSDillon Marketing prices the agreed scope after reviewing your requirements. Tell us your budget in TTD, your launch date and the functions that are essential. We will distinguish launch requirements from later improvements so that the proposal can be evaluated sensibly.
Moving an existing website carefully
Before replacing a site, preserve its files, database, useful content and existing URLs. Map each important old address to its new destination, retain relevant assets and check the new site before switching traffic. We also record what is being retired. A migration can involve temporary search fluctuations while engines process the changes.
Your current domain ownership, email records and other working services need their own checks. A website redesign does not authorise changes to every service attached to the domain.
What you receive at handover
The handover should identify the live site, hosting arrangement, source files, access owners, backup location and the process for future changes. We agree how you will update content; a custom build can use a defined editing workflow or a separately scoped content-management interface.
We review the real enquiry path after launch. A click on WhatsApp means someone opened that route; it does not mean that a message was sent or a sale occurred. That distinction belongs in the reporting.
Prepare a useful website brief
Bring your business name, services, service area, brand files, approved photographs and examples of the questions customers keep asking. Include your current site, any access problems and the contact details that must appear. Share passwords through an agreed secure method after the project is scoped.
Our planning tools help you organise that brief before you contact us. You can download your answers and choose what to submit.
